As the Indian-American community eagerly awaits PM Modi’s visit to Houston, a press release from the White House confirmed that US President Donald Trump will join PM Modi on September 22nd to reaffirm the strategic partnership between the world’s oldest and largest democracies.
More than 50,000 Indian-Americans from across the US have registered for “Howdy, Modi! Shared Dreams, Bright Futures” that is scheduled for September 22nd at NRG Stadium in Houston.
PM Modi later took it to the Twitter calling it a ‘special gesture’ of the US President Donald Trump.
As the news came out, social media responses from both countries started pouring in. People are thrilled on the news as it is the first time in history when two leaders of the two largest democracies are going to address a joint rally.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a week-long trip to the United States from September 21 to September 27. After addressing the mega rally in Houston, PM Modi is scheduled to visit New York from September 23, where he will address the 2019 Climate Action Summit hosted by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
